1. Acceptance of Terms

By installing, accessing, or using the Shieldy Fraud Filter application ("App", "Service", "we", "us"), you ("Merchant", "you") agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, do not install or use the App.

These terms apply to all users of the App, including Shopify store owners and administrators who have installed the App through the Shopify App Store.

2. Description of Service

Shieldy is a fraud prevention and store protection application for Shopify. The App provides the following services:

• IP address and country-based visitor blocking and redirection
• Bot, VPN, proxy, and Tor traffic detection and blocking
• Fraud order detection and automatic cancellation based on risk scoring
• Checkout-level blocking based on email, phone, name, and other field patterns
• Content protection including right-click disable, copy prevention, and inspect element blocking
• Visitor analytics and traffic monitoring
• Spy browser extension detection and blocking

3. Eligibility

To use the App, you must have an active Shopify store on a Basic plan or higher. You must be at least 18 years of age or the age of majority in your jurisdiction. You represent that you have the authority to bind your business to these terms.

4. Account and Store Access

By installing the App, you grant Shieldy the necessary permissions to access your Shopify store data as required for the App to function. This includes access to:

• Order information (for fraud analysis and risk scoring)
• Customer data (for checkout blocking rules)
• Store settings (for theme integration and content protection)
• Analytics data (for visitor tracking and reporting)

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your Shopify account. We are not liable for any loss or damage arising from unauthorized access to your account.

5. Pricing and Payment

Shieldy offers both free and paid plans. Pricing details are available on the Shopify App Store listing and within the App dashboard. Paid subscriptions are billed through Shopify's billing system.

We reserve the right to modify pricing at any time. Any price changes will be communicated in advance and will not affect your current billing cycle.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the App for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable laws
• Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App
• Use the App to discriminate against visitors based on protected characteristics
• Resell, sublicense, or redistribute the App or its features
• Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the App
• Use the App in a manner that could damage, disable, or impair Shopify's services

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

The App is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not guarantee that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or completely secure.

While we strive to provide accurate fraud detection, we cannot guarantee that all fraudulent activities will be detected or that legitimate visitors will never be incorrectly blocked. You are responsible for reviewing and adjusting your blocking rules and fraud thresholds.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Shieldy and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of revenue, profits, data, or business opportunities, arising from your use of the App.

Our total liability shall not exceed the amount paid by you to us in the twelve (12) months preceding the event giving rise to the claim.

9. Data Processing

The App processes visitor data including IP addresses, geographic location, browser information, and device fingerprints for the purpose of fraud detection and prevention. This data processing is governed by our Privacy Policy.

You are responsible for ensuring that your use of the App complies with applicable data protection laws, including GDPR, CCPA, and any other relevant privacy regulations in your jurisdiction.

10. Intellectual Property

All intellectual property rights in the App, including but not limited to software, design, trademarks, and documentation, are owned by Shieldy or its licensors. These terms do not grant you any rights to use our trademarks, logos, or other brand features.

11. Termination

You may terminate your use of the App at any time by uninstalling it from your Shopify store. We may suspend or terminate your access to the App at any time, with or without cause, including for violation of these terms.

Upon termination, your right to use the App will immediately cease. Any data stored by the App may be deleted after a reasonable period following termination.

12. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms of Service at any time. Changes will be effective upon posting to this page. Your continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised terms.

13. Governing Law

These terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Wisconsin, United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
